So many beginnings meet their end far too soon. I make no promises for how long I'll write, my brain seems to wander. But, for now, I am happy to have a comfortable new place to post.
Since I can write about what I want, I'll write about this CMS.
Sanity.io, aside from its humorus name, is a breath of a fresh air. It was made intelligently from the beginning, and it is something you can feel.
My favorite part so far is the lovely ability it gives you to create the related thing you need, when you need it, or use something that already exists.
For instance, I didn't create an Author for this blog post, prior to creating it, but just as soon as it occurs to me, I can create one no sweat.
It's the same with the Category. I can tell you, dear reader, there are times when I've used software and had to use this sequence of events:
- Write Blog post
- Try to assign it a Category
- Realize Category I want does not exist
- Exit blog Post Entry
- Enter Category Entry
- Create Category
- Re-Enter Blog Entry
- Choose Now Existing Category
- Cry a little inside
- Repeat
It's also this ability to not have to think of things in a particular order every time that feels good for my brain.
Sometimes I look at a thing and notice something new, and it throws off my concentration, and along with it goes any sort of structural order I had the elements in my head. My brain has to take the time to reorient and recompose, it is added friction against the act of creation, whatever that creation might be.
Anyways, understanding this about myself helps me mitigate the times when it occurs but it's still my daily bother.
Having ADHD is like starting a blog post about one thing and ending it about something completely different.
Keep well, dear reader.
We'll chat again soon.
